Currently I've still got my Audi TT Roadster which is getting on a bit on a Y plate and 82k but its in great condition and I love it to bits, ive just serviced it, mot'd it and fitted new discs & pads front and rear and also taxed it for 1 year. The dilema is I need(ed) to buy a reliable and practicle car for the wife as were due our first child in May, we sold her Golf 3 dr and shes paid a loan of left us with about 3k which meant really without borrowing more id have to sell the TT to get her something half decent.

Anyway ive bought her a car today, not the most exciting thing in the world its a 54 focus c-max 1.8 zetec thats got a full mot , tax and service with just 40k for 3.5k so im now in the position do i sell the tt or not, ive kind of done a deal with a guy but as he's not viewed it no money's have crossed hands so i can easily pull out at anytime the problem i have is i really like the tt and now we have the sensible car is it worth changing it?

So the question is what would you do with 6k, keep it or buy something else...... what kind of car that isnt going to break down, cost a fortune to run and give the fun and performance would i get for the money ive got

Decisions decisions............

Sounds like you don't really want shot of it so I'd pull out of the sale and see how you feel in 6 months time or so.

thats exactly how i feel mate like i said i only originally wanted/needed to sell to contribute towards wifes motor, im racking my brains out on something that ill enjoy as much, on which id no doubt have to tax etc etc

why did you buy a c-max over a normal focus?

believe it or not i actually quite like them, they offer a more raised up driving position over the standard focus which is what the wife wanted, id not driven one until this one today, and i was suprised how nippy and how good the handling actually was, plus its got more room than ill ever need, also i though it seemed a good deal, ill probs keep it for a year and sell for 3k anyway?

But anyway thats not the issue the issue is what to do with the tt.......

Thats a good price for the c-max, admittedly not my cup of tea (or most peoples) but i suppose thats why its such a good deal.
