My new 9800X3D setup awaiting the release of the RTX 5090

This is my new gaming setup with a direct die cooled Ryzen 9800X3D. The case is a Antec Flux Pro, Radiators are Corsair 2 x 420mm, pump is Aqua Computer Ultitube D5.
Motherboard is a MSI MAG X870 Tomahawk, memory 2x24GB DDR5 Klevv 6000MT/S CL30, NVMe 2TB Crucial T700 and 4TB Lexar NM790 with a Asus TUF Gaming 1200W power supply.
The only part missing now is the RTX 5090 when it comes out hopefully January 2025. The 2 x 420mm radiators should be good for about 800W silently.
Water flow is pump > GPU > CPU > 2 x 420 radiators > pump.
I think it will look nice once the GPU is installed.

Nice! I wonder if you need the reverse fans, though. Try running them up, they tick, and with water cooling I am not sure you need them.

One tiny suggestion, the rear fan will be noisy. It needs a spacer.

But it's a lovely PC and should see you good for many years. I'm impressed.

Yeah pretty sure the scalpers will be
All over the 5090
Can't even get a 4090 at a sensible price now

Some black zmt tubing would go well
In your build
Rather than that clear tubing

I dunno. They might be, but at £2000 a pop I am not so sure. Especially in this climate.

Yes, it the 9800X3D does have a integrated GPU. Not sure how well it would handle KCD2 @ 4K though ;)

Oh, really? I didn't know. That's interesting. (I'm not being sarcastic, I really didn't know!)

the 7 series also has igpu

happens every time theres something shiny and new
some people just have to get it NOW
regardless of the scalpers price

Christ, and I thought *I* was a lazy ****

Actually I can beat you at being lazy. I bought a full Ryzen 5900X system 2 years ago, couldn't be bothered to put it together, sold it as brand new boxed and unused 2 months ago, bought a 7800X3D system, and still haven't bothered putting that together yet. Howsabout that?

It depends, I managed to get a 9800X3D for £449 and the RTX4090 for £1600 when it came out in October 2022.The RTX 4090 was an air cooled one so had to add a water block for another £160 but still a good price compared to what those GPU‘s went for afterwards.

Do you mean the 2 fans at the bottom of the case? I left them in to help getting air into the case. I guess the 6x140mm fans would suck all the air they need into the case. The 2x120mm at the bottom where part of the case. I will see how it goes and may remove the 2x120mm fans if it make little difference.
The rear fan is very close to the radiator hose. It will be difficult to add a spacer without fouling the radiator hose to the CPU.

Personally I'd remove the bottom two fans and change the front fans to intake
