Wait for this, not all new parts,

1 x Celeron D 336 @ 2.8Ghz
1 x MSI P4M900M2-L Motherboard
1 x 8600GT 256Mb GDDR3
1 x 1 Gig Value Geil DDR2 6400Mhz (5-5-5-15)
1 x Akasa AK-956SF Heatsink Fan
1 x Sumvision Gaia PS2 Keyboard
1 x 300 Watt PSU
1 x 40 Gig IDE

I read that the celeron D's overclock very well though maybe push the 8600GT a bit as well

If i run Crysis demo at all, just for a look, i will be happy with it..

Question is will this beat my old,

Barton 2500+
9700Pro
512Mb PC2700

It would be ok but that hard drive... save up a little and get a new one, 250gb ones can be had for cheap and it will be faster too, even a modern 80GB would be fine.

No offense but I have a pocket calculator that would probably put up a good fight against that particular beast :D

My old PC was a P4 Northwood C overclocked to 3.35GHz with 2GB of ram and a 7900GS (AGP), which was about 4 years old I think (apart from the graphics card). That would be a beast of a PC perhaps in 2003 ;D

Depends what your doing with it I guess. If your just using it for web browsing/MS office it will be fine.

Wow that is a beast if I ever saw one

Here's a tip; a celeron isnt even worthy of being my boot scraper so a I dont tred mud on my freshly hoovered carpet.

EDIT: Just noticed you mention Crysis in the OP, are you related to dvdbunny by any chance?
