It's not stuck, no :p

Its a 2008 330i M sport Coupe
Has Idrive with Nav, autobox, and flappy paddles (not smg!)
19 inch (type 255 i think) alloys :)

They are 225M alloys buddy, and they WILL crack at somepoint! Keep your eye on them and build up a good relationship with your main dealer, will make it far easier to get them swapped as good will if you are an good terms with them!

Really nice motor buddy, same exterior colour and wheel combo as my 335D but different interior colour: I think i prefer your interior though! (only just, im not a huge fan of cream, and if it had the red wood like fox's i would still prefer the black). Red is best though!

Where are you based?

his is black wood, which was an option. Infact when i was considering buying yours it was the first thing on my list of things to do to it!

Yup, its a grey wood officially I think.
I really like it. Works well with the rooflining and leather.

oh, and do you guys have led lit door cards? It looks cool, did not realise, as I never test drove at night.

Dump the run flats and they will be fine, it will sort the harsh ride out that the 19"s have as well.

Couldn't keep the interior clean for long if I had that colour.......:D

dumping the runflats doesnt guarantee the wheels not cracking, it just helps.

But what it also does mean is, if they do crack, it almost certainly guarantees that BMW won't help you. When i asked my dealer he said if it had non-OEM tyres they wouldn't have been replaced under goodwill.

He means the extended interior lighting which is standard on the E92. The doorcards light up.

Im being a pedant but is it not called ambient lighting? Thats what BMW called it in my brothers F10.

Lovely car BTW :)

I hadn't even noticed it on my car before and it's supposed to look quite noticeable against red leather. Just went out to check the instrument brightness and it was low so set it to max. Hopefully be more noticeable now the next time I set out for a drive at night (I did see a considerable jump in brightness of the bulb when I adjusted it.)

How fuel efficient are these particular engines (in comparison to the E46), in the manual form?

About 20% more efficient - it has a very economy minded direct injection system meaning for the manual the combined fuel consumption is a staggering 39mpg - versus about 31 for an E46 330i.

The downside is that as with diesels which went in pursuit of economy and performance with direct injection, the N53 is plagued with reliability concerns - injectors, high pressure pumps, etc etc. A real shame as it means you'd be mad to run one without a warranty.

They'll be good fun when they start popping up on forecourts at £5995 tempting Focus buyers
