My new car

I'd much rather have a skyline, scoobys are too common and have fallen into the chav car now.

It's the new nova :(

i like the gts though... as has been said, at least its not as predictable (common) as a scoob.

It was a Scoob I swapped for the Skyline purley for those reasons.

There must be about 40 in my town alone, as for the Skyline I've only seen one other.

they have a point about them becomming common

only way to distinguish yourself is to buy a new one. The classics have become very cheap now. You can get a v4 sti for about 5/6k now which is stuipdly cheap.

and would also run rings around a skyline, even a GTR.

Out of interest what's the insurance like for one of these? Just ran a quote through on Privilege's website and it was near enough 3 times what I pay for the 172! I really fancied an R32 GTS-t as a toy as well :(

if you want to insure turbo jap nutter imports like v4 STI and R32 GTS-Ts etc.. you need a specialist insurer

mainstream insurers like priviledge run a mile from this sort of thing.

try greenlight, they're the endorsed insurer for scoobynet (allthough everybody on there uses one of the brokers that posts on there and is cheaper than everobody else, allmost without exception)

Yeah thought as much, although Priv. always do me really good quotes on any kind of scooby.

hmmm run rings around. were you joking?

first vid i could find

thats track driving though

Skyline has allways been quick round a track, not so great on british roads. I think they'd be more evenly matched on your average street race round english roads.

This is the scary bit I'm currently paying £680 fully comp with 0NCB and I'm 26.

not even bothered to watch the vid, and no i'm not joking. STi is considerably lighter than a GTR and has really short gears. I'm quite well versed on the capabilities of both cars and yes, the STi on the UK roads would be past the GTR no doubt about it. FWIW an evo would be even further ahead.

in that vid it was an RA... even shorter gears IIRC

the impreza didnt run rings around anything in this one either, despite it being wet and there being 2wd cars in the equation. oh dear lol
