So I sold my 328 E36 sport, which I had spent a fortune on, but was starting to loose interest in it. I figured the next logical step would be an E36 M3, after having owned an E30 316, 318is, 325 sport, and my E36 328 before hand.

But then I came across this; I had always liked them, so I figured it was time for a change.

1997 C36 AMG, 280 BHP, with the 5 speed auto, I am the second owner  (how rare is that!), 90k miles, FSH. Interior is unbelievably clean for a car of this age, it’s all but like a new car (check out the retro fully functioning 90’s in car phone) Wheels have been refurbished and look great with a chrome lip. The only unfortunate thing about the car is Mercedes decided (as many people know) to use pretty terrible paint/metal on their 90's cars, and there are bits of body work that need doing. I’m pretty sure there isn’t a 202 out there that doesn’t need any!! I’m going to get it done in the summer; it would be a crime to let it get bad.

Plans are literally just to keep it clean and standard, once I have the paintwork done.

Its pretty fast, not evo m3 fast, but goes well. Absolutely loves sliding around corners to!

Not the best photos because the weather was terrible today!

Cheers

I suppose technically that phone is now illegal to use whilst on the move? ;)

Cool car - congrats :).

I have yet to figure it out not had the time so far, but so far as I can see it will accept any sim card, and will just work just like a mobile. Of course, with the law as it stands it isnt that usefull any more, unless you use a massive elastic band to stick it to your head while you drive along:D

I will be leaving it there though, just for the retor cool factor.

Very nice, looks in brilliant condition. Such a good sleeper too, looks pretty much identical to normal C class of the time. just a bit lower and a seriously modest kit.

Thanks for all the comments.

I know what you mean Fox, they were never the most attractive cars even at the time, I think that was strange as it may seem, part of the appeal! The ride and engine make up for what it lacks on the outside imo.

Im getting old now you see, cant be doing with to much attention:D

There is definitely something nice about that, and I don't usually big performance german saloons, apart from the seriously old bimmers.

It definately looks like it still has a presence, even after all these years.

Looks very clean indeed
