were on about not having a fan on ?.....

You quoted me talking about the fan filter, not the fan. Make your mind up. (and the third sentence was about the rear fan)

About 40c after a few hours load, cooler than most DFI boards etc. with a fan

I dont really know what temp my chipset is, in asus probe I only have motherboard and cpu, is it motherboard?

Should be, I don't use Asus probe myself though on my asus board but that seems the logical one :)

i was talking about the rear fan all along not the filter.

I know you were, I was talking about the filter (nix asked) when I said what was the point as it just blocks airflow. Then you went into a lecture about why the rear fan was so important, which I wasnt talking about in the part you quoted.

As for the rear fan I fitted one earlier and temps have dropped 1c on everything

To throw a new one to the mix.

I ran my PC7 fanless, beats a vento's case temperatures in a comparable review with someone using the same system. :p

Fans are not totally necissary, if its stable and within manufacturer specifications then it is most certainly ok to run a PC without fans. Hard drives like a little airflow, but certainly do not need it.

I don't have any case fans running in my case and the temp are very low. Very happy for it to run this way. Been like this for years too.
