My new Cayman S

OMG - That is stunning! - Congrats!

I wish I could use more detailed words - But then I will get banned - lol

Florida is just a temporary placement whilst I work for a couple of years. I will be moving back to California ASAP. Even so Florida is great for housing, 2800 sq ft house for less than it costs to get an apartment in outer London.

Looks amazing! You are a lucky bloke.

Am I right in thinking that if Porsche had fitted a LSD if would have outperformed any 911 in the twisties?

All it would need is a bit more power, a 400hp Cayman would be a lot quicker than the 911's. The Cayman S already laps the ring faster than the base 911 and most say the Cayman chasis is the better handilng of the two.

There is a turbo kit about to be released that gives 420hp from the engine up from the 300hp standard on the S which could be interesting and its only $7500...I think I'll wait for some of the testing to be done first though.

Manthey Motorsport have just bought out a handling and performance kit for the Cayman S that looks very interesting. They change the dampers for the highly regarded KW's and adjust the dynamics and geo to suite, and more interestingly, they have also managed to fit an LSD into the existing Porsche diff housing. 911 & Porsche world review it this month and were very enthusiastic about it.

Having said that, the standard car is pretty bloody special as it is if you ask me, and of course, there are NO bends in florida anyway :D

Stinning motor!

Wheres is the all important hovis mind? Or shal we trust you.

I tell you what, for proof, may i come down to your house sometime early october for a real viewing, I will be in orlando so well within your area :p

Very nice, the only thing I dislike is the orange light plate on the side of the front end. I wish they wouldn't put them on as they make the cars look old. White tinted is the way forward.

Very nice car mate, my bro in Toronto Canada was thinking of getting one of these himself...we had a nice little test drive when i was there last week. Pretty nice and nimble cars but sadly he wasnt that impressed with it...mind you hes quite fussy so god knows what hes gonna get.

But other than that, i like the cars...the one we test drove was a nice black colour as well but it was a normal black colour.

Dave,

The car looks great ! :) I know you've been itching for it for ages, and the waiting has finally paid off. Glad to hear your down in florida now and things are going well there.. looks absolutely stunning

I'll have to borrow the keys if i'm over there sometime soon ;)

Will chat to you on msn again soon with any joy

Cheers

Gareth
