My New Child

Balls to that, you know as well as I do that you'd be better off walking than restricting a 50cc engine.

Be careful with that in this forum, last time I said that I got flamed for about 3 pages! :p But I agree.

I love my twist and go, really simple and I can just cruise around :D

you brake? oh dear wheres the fun in that! ;):p

Not until the last minute I've realised :p

good stuff, but who stuck them crap stickers on? :p

You don't like them? I think they're 'different', more sporty maybe :p

That looks brilliant, how much? What kind of speed do they do? What are you going to be using it for?

£480 - Got all the panels and every resprayed, my step dad was a mechanic and has had bikes before so he sorted everything out for pennies.

I've got upto 46mph but then ran out of road, plus it was wet, windy and I got scared :D

Will use it to stop being late to school, havn't been on time for over two years. :o Returning from school obviously and then going to and from college when I go. Also for going to friends and the shops etc and for having lots of fun :p

Edit: Oh, sorry, posing also. The only person in my school to have one :D

You will still be late just means you can spend an extra few minutes in bed :p

It looks in pretty good nick Sinque, and I'm glad that you got something that you really wanted :)

I recall that thread, think I even posted in it, and I wouldn't say it was a 'flaming'; a lot of people (myself included), were trying dissuade you from riding illegally - iirc you are not old enough to ride until sometime in the new year?

You're kind of opening a can of worms I feel - riding without training (going by my past comment (I could be wrong though)), thus riding illegally, and for your age, should be restricted to 31mph.

I'm not trying to pee on your fireworks, and I know a random person leaving you a message is not going to change your decision, but please think of the other road users; how would you feel in, say, 10 years time when an uninsured/untrained rider/driver hits you and you are left to pick up the pieces?

Scort.

My step dad is a car/bike driving instructor and I'm not sure how I can train to ride without actually riding without training?

Edit: I'm insured and have my provisional.

CBT course tbh, I am guessing (only learnt this year - 26 y/o, so not sure for 16/17 y/os - if that is your age group) that will teach you everything, I had never ridden before mine and found it pretty easy to pick up.

I would imagine that you could practice off-road, and if that is what you have been doing, than ignore my first post; just hoping that you don't turn into another young lad/lass riding about without a care for the law that's all.

Edit: just saw your edit - well that is a good start matey, now get that CBT booked asap, it's dead easy and will hopefully give you some good road skills to start building on :)

Scort.

CBT is in 6days! I see people what you're talking about but I couldn't risk my bike, nevermind me :p

Nice one, you'll be on the road proper in no time then :)

I know it is tempting, just keep off-road for those 6 days!

Scort.

Enjoy your new ped. Don't treat the road like a playground and remember to give people room before you pull out or back in front of them. They get ****** off when you don't, because they could really hurt you, not the other way round. Traffic isn't a race and knowing what's around you is more important than making funny comments to your mate when you're pootling along. Nobody is impressed by that. Here's to years of safe riding. :)

Brings a tear to my eye, best christmas ever!

Merry Christmas! :D

Chuffed to bits for you mate
Just try & keep it up the right way :)

Stickers are not to my taste, would prefer to see it without in all honesty.

Looks a nice (i'm assuming) first bike :)

You can't really fail a CBT unless your a danger to yourself and others then you'll get asked back for another session.

CBT course tbh, ...that will teach you everything,

I hope that was written with the intention of being tongue in cheek. It teaches the absolute bare minimum and is only scratching the surface of "everything".
