My new COD4 hardcore server

My server has been up for a week or so now and has been quite popular.

It's a 16 slot server in search and destroy only.

IP address is 85.234.136.182:1024 if anyone wants to pop on for a game.

Rules are

No Clays, no marty, no last stand, no grenade launcher, no RPG.
No Air strikes in the first 15 seconds and English chat only.

I have about 5 admins at the moment, looking for a few more sensible people.

I may expand the slots a little if its constantly full.

Already a few OcUK peeps playing in it if you want to jump in, would be great to see a few more in.
 
Nice.

I get a ping of about 30ms normally.

I might be on later, if I'm not and you need an admin ask Girlygirl, Reep or Taff if they are on.

Also if its empty and you join normally someone will join within minutes, then pretty soon there will be lots of people in.

Why dont you just ban guns as well? We could all sit around and eat cake or something.

Have you just gone along banning all the things that usually kill you or something? :p

I like cake :D

I only play on these style of servers any way but I do see your point. There are two sides of game play in COD4, you have the S&D HC with banned perks and weapons as above and then the TDM with all weapons and perks, it's just a case of "you can't please everyone".

Some people don't like all the noobie perks.

I don't like these perks so I paid for my own server, if people don't like it then they can choose a different server and enjoy the camping and a guy pooping out a nade when he dies.

It's set up the same as my old clans server, this was how we all liked it and we were a good team, top 10 in ED ladder.

Also notice how all of the above and more aren't available in ladder matches, I wonder why that is.
 
Geezer has his own server, you can join & abide by the rules or **** off :D

Any chance I can poop a nade when I die, would be funny :p
 
everyone has a server without ridiculous rules why would anyone join you two players :rolleyes:

Rules are pretty normal . Virtually the same on my clans server although we can have clays . Rockets are allowed against helis but not people . Also glitching will get you kicked .

Might pop in for a game if i get some time .

Aside from the lack of clays* - aaw - I agree with the rest - might drop in if I pick up COD4 again.


* Unlike the other perks IMO theres a degree of skill with clays both to using and evading them and removing them somewhat newbifies the game.
 
Thanks for the positive comments.

The reason for no clays is I have a real hatred for them, too many people use them, normally so they can camp in a corner, I have seen too many maps turn into a clay mine field as half the people on a team plant clays everywhere.

I understand some people might not agree, and that's fair enough, plenty of other servers for those people. :)
 
I like using marty because it annoys people :) just like how I always use the Lancer's chainsaw in GoW2 MP because it annoys people

Im not a git honest, I do take it off if server rules are against it

I may as well ask here, what files do I need to put where to restore my CoD4 Mp profile?

Why I have hated COD5 and WaW, I can't understand why people have a gripe with the noob perks lets face it martyrdom isnt exactly difficult to prempt or avoid, and if you can't then you are pretty stupid, its usually the "hardcore" servers that are the worst I thought you are supposed to be hardcore? :rolleyes:

Loving MW2 atm just because it is everything goes, its like old school again.
 
Spent a good 45 minutes on your server earlier and loved it apart from someone using clays even though it says not to the moment you join but apart from that will deffo have another go
