Welcome to the forums, the specification looks decent and will work as is but I'd make a few changes.

I'd probably pick 4gb Ram over 2gb considering the prices and that you appear to be building a high specification computer. Although you would need a 64bit OS to access all the Ram, any real reason why you have the 32bit version of Vista selected?

I'd change the DVDRW to a SATA model, NEC and Samsung do suitable models.

I'd change the CPU cooler to either a Noctua NH-U12F or Tuniq Tower.

The PSU I'd probably choose a Corsair 620w in place of, the Corsair will easily cope with an SLi system anyway and costs less.

I'd go with the 8800GTX in place of the 8800ultras, I don't think the price premium for the ultras is worth it. I'm also not 100% sure if the Antec 900 copes with SLi.

Finally your signature is too big, it should be 400x75 pixels or less and under 20kb. :)

//edit what screen have you got currently?

Something like ocz pc5400 ought to do for the ram.

the corsair hx 620w is the one i'm talking about, good review here although Jonnyguru has another detailed review.

As for graphics cards something like the EVGA 8800GTX would do you fine although may not clock quite as high as the ultra I suppose. The Leadtek ultra isn't that bad a price actually.

Thanks for changing the signature as well. :)

i am not sure as to why i put down 32bit vista, i am not sure what the difference are. what would you recommend?

I've been steering clear of Vista until it has been out a while but that is more force of habit than anything else to wait until it is seen to be stable. I think 64bit is probably the way to go but be aware that some programs might not work 100% at the moment and some might never work correctly. However due to inherant limitations of 32bit OSes you cannot access a full 4gb of Ram so if you definitely want 4gb Ram and to use all of it the choice is more or less made for you.

Have a search in the Windows sub-forum to get some more opinions on it as there are people who know way more than me about it there.

ok thanks for the help, i know xp i know all my programs will work on it also, i think i may go for xp pro 64 (witch will use the 4gig of ram) instead of vista, that way i know all my programs will work and in the long run when i decide to get some dx10 games and vista seems to be more stable i will think about getting it them. again thanks for all the help i will halp a look in the windows thread about xp pro32/64bit thanks!

oh and 1 more thing, how do i get a avatar? ;)
