I bought a cheapy headset to test, after running numerous times through an online mic test I found it's not picking up sound from the fold out mic, but from the earpiece on the side?!
Holding it away from my mouth is.. semi decent clarity for what I paid, but why is it not picking up the mic that extends..?
It's plugged into the front headphone jack on my case (It's a short cable and struggles to reach the one on the back)
Recording devices show a Microphone and Headset Microphone.
Tapping the ear piece and the little mic piece shows green bars under "Sound" so it's getting something.
But when I tried online, it really only took voice from about an inch from the earpiece to my mouth..
Any ideas? I will most likely be returning it tomorrow, and saving for a Blue Yeti or something.
