My new hobby

DSC01843.jpg

Last year in Tiree, an island just off the west coast of Scotland :)

Started a couple of years ago, with a O-Zone Flow 3m. Bought an MBS Core 8 to get to grips with land boarding, nice and stable :) Then I bought a Flexifoil Blade IV 6.5m as a low wind kite (as seen in the picture) which is brilliant but can be a bit tricky!

Weather is looking ideal tomorrow in the North East:
Low Tide 12.30pm
9-14mph SE
Sunny
14C

Will be the first time kiting in 2011, can't wait! :D

I do something similar, but use a windsurf sail instead of a kite. It's brilliant fun but hitting sand hurts more than hitting water so it's pretty easy to knock yourself out.

Ive got a 3.2m Ozone kite, awesome fun :)

Havent got a board yet though, just ben doing some suicide jumps off sand dunes at Shell Island :D

Need new strings though sadly. Stupidly snapped one trying to use it during winds that far exceeded the kites capabilities. Tell you what though, decent strings are expensive!

Slightly off-topic, but Shell Island is awesome! :D

*wants a big arse kite now* :(

Back home in Oz kite surfing is all the rage. Need some serious upper body strength though. How is it on your arms?
