What cooling have you got on that? I'm trying to OC my E6850 but even @ 3.33 the temps are reaching 60 under load....and thats with a zalman fan.

60 is fine. 70 However is pushing it. :D

How accurate is Everest compared to say CoreTemp and RealTemp?

its the same as coretemp ive got a slight v droop at 1.4 volts still happy 3.5 out of a 1.86 stock chip hehe

yeah 70 is quite toasty

Can't you switch to higher multi ? I thought they had x8 or x9 even?

You're still on low volts as well ! And your temps are excellent.

I see you getting this to 3.75ghz go go : ).

Nice :) The limit for these tends to be the mobo because the multiplier is so low. I had one with a Gigabyte board... the board wouldn't go past 450FSB, which limited me to 3.15. 512FSB is pretty impressive.

does it matter what multiplier you use with the dual cores? I'm just asking because whenever I try to use a x8 instead of x9, the system will often fail to start.....but this could have definitely been something else as i didn't do a thorough test.

nope only got a x7 muti all my other voltages are on auto any recomendatons on what to change to hit 3.75 :D

up the northbridge volts by 0.2v

Then I would do it from the other end and set cpu core voltage to 1.5v - then if it boots and is stable with that I would tune it down notch by notch to get the lowest stable voltage.

You might be hitting FSB wall - meaning that you have reached your maximum fsb for either CPU or mobo, because when you set lower multiplier you need higher FSB to reach the same speed.

ah ok phoenix.....guess i'll leave my multiplier to 9 to save my NB the stress.....just a shame I can't run my ram at the stock speeds with that configuration.
