howdy, my first post and its gonna be a monster :]
I recently decided it was time to get a PC that would get me through the next couple of years without any major changes (maybe vid cards) so i got some cash together and built a new PC.
The Rig:
INTEL QX6700e (each core at 2.7ghz)
EVGA Nvidia 680I SLI Socket 775 DDR2 (Bus speed set to 1066mhz)
Corsair TwinX 2GB Kit (2x1GB) 240Pin PC2-8500 Dominator 1066MHz Dual Channel (reson why bus speed is at 1066mhz)
2x Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB ST3320620AS SATA-II 16MB Cache (Running as a RAID)
ENERMAX 1000
BFG GeForce 8800GTX OC2 768MB SLI HDCP Enabled Dual DVI PCI Express (626MHz Core Clock) (2000MHz Memory Clock) (1450MHz Shader Clock)
Didn't buy new:
Generic DVD Re/Writer
ThermalTake Shark
Generic Keyboard
Logitech mx518 Mouse
gnr 19" monitor...old..
Hope its all okay to read, i gather from reading forum you guys can dechiper the jargen
GPU is 56degs, CPU is 41deg and MOBO is 35degs.
I've taken some screenshots of CPU-Z that i'll add below,
I haven't ran 3DMark yet on the Vista OS, but on XP i got 12500ish score. On Supreme Commander i played versus 2 AI and even when the Nukes went off i didn't get any slow downs. Also Half-Life2 Performace Test gave me 220FPS average and Stalker runs at max settings no problems.
As you can guess im happy as a pig in shi... well yea...
But i have a problem.
On the Vista Performance test, everything is rated t 5.9 except the RAM which comes in at 5.1
The RAM is meant to be hot stuff, so why is the score so low? any feedback or support on that would be great!
