Hi All,

This is the system ive finally decided to go for;

Just a few questions, Is the case big enough to support dual SLi in the future? Also, Is the motherboard O.k for overclocking on? Debating wether to go for the Gigabyte UD5 but have never bought a board other than Asus?

Thanks. :D

PC3-12800 is 1600Mhz yes? I really wanted to go for 2000 to help with future proofing. Ive got £1000 to blow so what the heck ?

Or would lower speed ram be better for overclocking?

MCH, No, not yet.. Cant afford one with that spec.. Going to use my PCI-E 7900GT until I can afford a better card. And also maybe an SSD.

What memory would you recommend then instead of the Dominator GT 2000Mhz ?

I ideally want some with fans on.. Cos memory does get very very hot. I originally was looking at the dominator gt 1600Mhz.. ?

I just want some low CAS 7 ram.. with fan. :D

Most memory modules have heat spreaders.. Just I want to keep heat to a minimum. I might just stick with the 2000Mhz to be honest. At least ill know it'll be down to me and not my system if im getting spanked in FPS's. And I can actually get the dominator GT quite a bit cheaper than OcUK as I am a pc engineer by trade and get a lot of components at trade prices.. And I can also claim the VAT back.. :D

Definitely drop that ram. Yes its very good but so are lots of other cheaper sets.
cooling ram isnt a problem in that case as it has excellent air flow so go for some of this

I use it in my system and it easily stays with my cpu up to 4gig and above.
With the £200 you save you can then go ahead and pick youself a nice shiny new GPU

What about the OCZ Reaper instead? Cas 7 instead of 8 ? £50 more mind.. But £150 less than the dominator GT

Also, does anyone know what the supposed new Nvidia cards are called? Or any idea when there coming out?

They're likely to be called something like G** 3** where the first lot of stars are letters such as TX or TS or whatever, and the second are numbers such as 60 and 80. That's just guesswork though as you never know what the marketing people will come up with. As for release dates it's all speculation again but the rumour mill suggests that we're probably talking about February or March at the earliest, and even then maybe only in the kinds of numbers we're currently seeing for the 58xx cards from AMD/ATI at the moment.

March? Ewww. Mean ive got to run my 7900GT in my system till then? :eek:

Think im going to drop the ram to the OCZ reaper 1600 Cas 7 instead and also get an SSD.. Then wait for nvid's new card to come out. Definitely the way to go about it I think..
