Yep true, thought not sure if its same with the new busa most probably, suzuki have a gentleman's agreement basically to keep the bikes limited to 300kph, nothing a little modification wont change though :p
 
its far less with my weight on it. lol

went back to the place i got the bike from to get my alarm and heated grips fitted today and mentioned to one of the lads that works there that it needed a set of cans. as a result of that the performance shop that is part of the dealership who make exhausts and performance parts have asked if they can borrow my bike in return for free exhausts and will put it in on the dyno with a power commander so they can make some custom maps and fabricate their exhaust range for it.

all told will save me around £700, well chuffed.
 
Not a motorbike person but I love these things. They just look so unique, and the performance :eek::eek::eek:

I'd kill myself inside of a week if I had one :(
 
Amazing bike... I almost bought the new 08 one but in the end decided to save almost 3k and buy a one litre sports bike instead.

Had a 03 Busa and there is nothing that can prepare you for the wave of torque from any RPM and the warp drive that follows... it's like being shot out of a cannon :)

Makes the ZX10 feel like a moped in many ways... (ie - gutless low down)


The only thing I don't like about them, and it's purely asthetic is how low down the rear of the bike is compared to a all out sports bike.. just a personal thing though, I like the 'jacked up' look :) ...the rest of the 08 is pure mechanical porn.

Sorry you are correct does it in under 5 seconds, the site i was on was a UK site so assumed it was in MPH they were showing it in lol, but further checking on the site seemed they were doing it in KPH :/

lol thats still the fastest 0-60 and 0-100 on the planet :cool::D and 0-150 in 10.2 secs
and even with the zzr1400 refresh its still the most powerfull [bhp]
and like the op says the brakes work :p

Aye, happy new bike. Personally, I'd equate its looks with a butty bag full of fresh sick, or a melted wax rhino but then I don't have to ride it. Enjoy :)
 
are the 2008 busas faster than the zzr1400s then ?

what quarter mile times are people getting on them ?

back of a zzr1400 was the scariest moment of my life , yet maybe the most fun too

Nice purchase! Good to see some healthy competition for the kawasaki! Personally given the choice between the two its going to be the suzuki for me! Just a great looking machine from every possible angle, anyone with an ounce of sense would just move right out the way!
