i picked this up on tuesday and drove it all the way back from Newcastle to London! An interesting start to Westfield ownership! i havent really pushed the limits in the corners or braking yet as i am still getting to grips with the acceleration.
Engine is a Honda Blackbird unit and making approx 170 bhp. It makes more in the westfield than on a bike as the breathing / exhaust is better on the car.
0 to 60 is quoted at 3.5 seconds and it certainly feels it as you are so close to the road. even old shape Minis are giants in comparison.
11k + rpm is also very addictive, although i do fear for my licence as the car only really takes off in the 8k-11k rpm range.
car has all the extras from the factory. 4 pot front brakes, fully rose jointed suspension, nitron coilovers etc.
i would be out in it now in the glorious weather but it seems to have a flat battery.
its not quite as easy as a normal car to jump start as the battery is hidden in the nose cone.
the clutch is an uprated item making it very on /off, that combined with the very sensitive accelerator pedal and sequential gearbox makes for a whole new learning experience! moving off generally involves either slipping clutch very slowly, stalling or a mini burnout. i am slowly improving on this but its easier said than done!
looking foward to upcoming tracks days!
