Firstly that should tell you more about people, in person, people do tend to be polite. You know the way parents with ugly babies don't know it, go around showing off their kid and NO ONE tells them to their face their kid is a fugly little poo, thats called being polite and civilised.
When someone see's you with a dog, the first thing on the tip of their tongue isn't to call your dog ugly.
La internet is not such a place, honesty is often brutal when you don't have to see someones teary face when you break the bad news to them.
The majority clearly think they are ugly, as do I, I also realise negativity doesn't equate to trolling, neither does having an opinion.
Frankly I'd know the EXACT response to posting this thread is the exact response you got, as did you by your hopeful plea for people to not act exactly as they did..... thats almost trolling in and of itself... but its not.
I hope you enjoy your dog, personally not much of a dog fan, being attacked by mad dogs as a kid wasn't pleasant, I also really dislike the liking their bums clean and wanting to like your face and sniff your nads things massively.
Im sorry for your attack, it has obviously left you scarred.
I dont really care whether people on here like the look of these dogs or not, as I said they are definately Marmite. To say that owners of these pets are generally chavs who want to appear threatening is absurd.
When I was growing up, we had a Labrador on the street and it was an absolute nightmare. As a kid running home from school, or running along kicking my ball, this dog would charge up and try to bite.. that does not mean old Flo's Lab along the road will be the same. Its irresponsible owners that ruin their dogs and they can ruin the reputation of others who own them.
I have been around a while Drunkenmaster, I know when people are being disingenuous. Some do comment on the fact that the dogs are ugly but still enjoy stroking them. My dogs are so sociable, people generally warm to them because they are so affectionate.
I used to laugh out loud when my Paddyboy, who looked like a meat head would run with his tail between his legs when the local Scottish Terrier would snap out at him... but he didnt have a mean bone in his body...
I went to meet the breeder the other night. They vetted me, they wanted to know what I done for a living. My place of work, where I lived and my experience with the breed. They also wanted to meet me so they could see what sort of man I was.
Responsible breeders care about where there dogs are going, they care because they want the best for the dog and the best for the future of the breed.
To be honest a lot of posters here have seen the dog and associated it with a type of person that they would not have the courage to confront in the street, so have turned into a keyboard warriors and have taken this oppotunity to hit out....well your hitting out at the wrong bloke....
