Hey folks, Here is my new car. It's a 98 Cadillac Seville STS which has a stunningly noisey 4.6 Northstar V8. It has near enough every electronic comfort I can think of so is lovely to waft along the motorway in and it pretty dam fast. (imo)

Now I have had this two weeks and to be fair compared to the e39 the interior is down right..well american :p it creaks over speedbumps and the wood feels like something from an 80s kitchen but dam I love it.

price for the folks that like to know, a broken e39 and 500quid.

Well without further waffling and to see the interesting replys here it is :D

I know how crap some of those cars can be but i'd just love a big ol amercian deathtrap like a Charger or something :D Nice one, prolly don't see much of those over here :D

saw one of these in Tescos carpark in MK a while ago! was gold though...

is that some kind of pot plant holder in the passenger foot well? Umbrella stand?

You know I have no idea what it is, it can detach and it's not in the manual, perhaps a average american size cupholder :p

Cool, I always fancied one of these as an alternative motorway eater, detailed up and with a few tweaks they a) really go and b) look quite nice! :D

how's the handling and stopping?

That's not a trolling comment, I'm just wondering if it is as bad as expected.

My dad got one of these new in '99. His has the same odd plastic thing. We never had any idea what its intended purpose was, though he indeed used it to hold one of those wee collapsible umbrellas.

It shouldn't be too terrifying since the Seville was the sportier model and STS was the sportiest package available for it.

Looks like it could use a bath and some decent tires. ;)

Parts etc are not to bad, most of the big parts are imported and dont cost much more and most of the little things gm stock at vauxhall dealers but I also have a caddy dealership just up the road.

Clarkey dont understand your comment why would it be different up here compared to england?

As for the front wheel drive it can certainly make the wheels spin but their is no torque steer and the traction control is awesome. It has large brakes and stopping is good, It has air suspension that auto adjusts and was designed for europe it's no 5 series but on the twisties it does feel a bit boat like allthough not as bad as I expected.
