Its about 10miles from Newcastle, Shindig at Digital is about the top night around here, although its mainly funky house. I prefer trance/hard trance/hard house, Tall Trees is about 40ish miles away which often hosts the Goodgreef events. Last majorish event I went to was Tidy at Magna.
Promise/Quality at Foundation in Newcastle used to have some cracking lineups, it used to be weekly then went every 2 weeks, then monthly, now finished
The typical weekly lineup would be 2 to 3 well known DJ's plus excellent residents (Lee Foster & Richard Tulip were the main 2 res), usually people like Eddie Halliwell, Jon O'Bir, Matt Hardwick, Yoji Biomehanika, Lab4, Lashes, Amber D, Tinrib, Above and Beyond, Gabriel & Dresden, Ed Real, Glazby, Uberdruck, Fergie, Marco V, Judge Jules, Picotto, Nick Sentience, Scott Project etc. These were weekly lineups, the hard house nights started to die off but the trance continued for awhile, but eventually finished too.
Promise has started up again at Privilege in Sunderland, its not really the same though, Foundation had a warehouse feel about the place and an unbelievable atmosphere.
