Hi there

Well today is quite a momentous day for myself and OcUK as I am sure the secret is out now that the new OcUK building is very easy to spot from the A500 simply due to the size of it and the fact we have now stuck a huge sign on the building marking it as ours. :D

I've worked at OcUK pretty much since the start, after literally emailing Mark back in late 1999/2000 and demanding he give me a job. Mark promised me a job once he had completed the move out of Pete Radford owned Millennium Computers on Imex business park to a bigger unit and his own premises. Mark as promised kept his word and I started working for OcUK back sometime in 2000 I think, cannot remember the exact date, it has been a very long time.

A couple of images of what people from back then will remember as seeing my Mustang generally always parked in the tunnel at Imex:

Then of course there was the OcUK Stomp Monster (SETI) until health and safety said it had to go. :D

Then I took a break from OcUK for a couple of years and returned in 2010 to the next building which was a much nicer place to work than what we nicknamed the shed in the Imex business park:

Then of course the Caseking Acquisition happened and we very quickly out grew this building and moved into a much larger premises which many of you will now know:

And today I relocated my PC and personal items to our new vastly larger premises:

To have come all this way with OcUK, experienced every building and the immense growth of a company that started off just selling a handful of items like Overclocked bundles and CPU's, to grow into the huge business it is today, I think it is fair to say Mark Proudfoot would be extremely proud of where the business is today from his creation all those years ago and the fact that the merger/acquisition with Caseking has had such a huge impact and positive effect of the business and entire group now spanning as a world wide organisation and still growing at an exponential rate. I just wish Mark could see it, RIP. :(

I've been with OcUK since the start and feel I've had a role in its growth and hope to still be here in another 20 years time, OK maybe not that long as I do plan to retire before then.

I am sure many of you are keen to see more images of the new building, of course once the entire company settles in over coming weeks I shall get more photos for you and of course keep an eye on our YouTube channel as we will for sure be posting up videos of the new building once everyone is settled and it is all tidy.

Please do not visit the site as there is no shop/display area yet and security will request you leave. Once we can allow customers to make collections I shall update this thread, in time we might update the display area and have a more official collection/shop point, but this is all an unknown at present. :)

A huge congratulations to everyone at OcUK & Caseking group on such a journey and superb success. :)

I remember taking a sickie and driving to Unit 40 @ the Imex Business Park to return a motherboard. It was a bit of a dump. :D It has been a long journey for OcUK and great to see the new era continue in such impressive premises. Gibbo's motors have also been a joy to see! :)

Great work and so nice to see a company growing over the years. Congratulations to you and all the team!

Worst willy waving thread ever :p

Never have been and visited OcUK, I hope you do manage to get a shop/display area set up at some point, would be great to come along and actually see some of the most powerful systems in the world up and running.

Maybe a PC Gaming museum, charge entry as well so it's not just wasted floor space when customers aren't in there! :p

I have handed over a load of old rewards and old hardware, so some form of display will no doubt be built in months to come. :)

Is there plenty of room for future GPU pyramids?

Anyway, congratulations to OcUK and I hope you continue to have much success in the future.

Out of interest Gibbo, how is the half million pound fleet financed? Is it through shares in OCUK? Or bonus payments? Or just a high salary?

Is Nath still on the pay roll?

You could say its a combination of everything, made good money during Covid on the share market investing savings, salary, savings, OcUK ceased operating bonus schemes sometime ago.

Nathan no longer works for OcUK, suspect he has taken early retirement especially with a toddler. :)
