My PC keeps on crashing. I'm not sure what's causing it. Now here is the weird thing, my PC won't reset when I press the reset button, even tough I tested the rest button when my pc was working fine. What could be disabling the reset button in a crash?

Crash happens randomly. Could it be the Power Supply? I got new one since the old one was giving sign its going to fail.

I tested the PC using Prime 95 -- no problems

Intel 3770K 3.5Ghz
16GB XMS 3 Corsair Ram
Sapphire AMD HD 7950 3GB
ASUS P8Z77-V motherboard
Samsung 830 SSD 128GB
1TB Seagate HDD
500GB Western Digital HDD
Samsung Blu Ray drive
Be Quiet! Pure Power 530W L8 BN181 PSU

Here goes,

Any viruses etc?

Try a fresh install of Windows.

Is the RAM setup via XMP? is being fed the correct voltage in the BIOS to what the sticks label says they need?

I take it it is not overclocked by the mention of the 3.5Ghz clock speed?

Pull it apart and rebuild it, maybe heat expansion and contraction has caused something to make a poor connection?

hmm...weird indeed. Have you installed something new recently? That could be a good place to start troubleshooting the problem. Looking at your specs, the HD7950 requires a 500w power supply, so you should be fine.

That being said, it could be the power supply (PSU) as these units have the tendency to degrade over long periods of time. Is the 530w the new one?

Perhaps, you can get your hands on a 600w or higher PSU and see how it goes...

something must have changed in his PC (SW or HW) to cause it to crash so randomly...the only thing I can think of atm is the PSU.

Ok so I did some test. I ran IntelBurnTest and FurMark together, at the same time, for 15min. PC didn't crash. So I'm ruling out CPU, motherboard, memeory, and graphics card. They seem to be working fine.

It looks like it may be the PSU. I checked the wires and some were a bit loose, but I'll keep an eye on it
