MY PC SPEC PLEASE ADVISE

No one has asked, but whats the main uses for this. If gaming, what sort of games.

He did say in post #4

The ivybridge CPU he has chosen has a lower rated IGP. The CPU we are spec'ing has the HD4000 IGP, there is something called quick sync which uses the IGP to help "turbo boost" the encoding of movies by supporting software.

I've already made my recommendations and explained why, not much else to say really. The offers are a gamble there is a chance you could get a better spec tomorrow or be worse off....who knows

The OP`s spec is suitable to his needs. Our advice has been offered but at the end of the day its his money. And if he is happy with his spec, then that is what matters. You can`t win them all, hono:D

We all win providing the OP is educated by our posts and makes an informed decision.

We all make mistakes on here and it's nice knowing that someone is watching your back looking out for "errors" and explaining why. I apologise if I have come over "pushy" just trying to educate not dominate lol

The i5-3450 can be overclocked a few notches up on a Z77 board. The turbo multiplier can be increased 4(?) notches and you would get a very safe 4.1ghz.

Nothing to apologize about.
In regards the B grade warranty, the link says" 3year warranty(if registered within 30 days)", is this valid. If not then its misleading.

So is the description for his non K ivybridge CPU. It says it has a HD4000 IGP till you click on it and the spec is then the 2500

Its the same for all none "k"Cpus. Who is the best person to ask about B grade warranties?

Yes WE know that but maybe the OP is choosing the 3450 partly because it appears to have the better IGP at first glance because of their "typo". I agree it is misleading on here sometimes :(

When i bought my EVGA 460 i registered it and if i recall the extended warranty had to be paid for, they just offered it cheap if you had registered within the 30 days of purchasing the card.

OCuk clearly state the warranty and that accesories might be missing at the top of the page on the clearance section.

I have noticed stulid is also spec'ing that B grade 460 in some threads. He is very good at this spec'ing lark and I'm happy to see some of his "budget gaming rigs" are nigh on spec'd the same as my suggestions :)
