My Plusnet fibre has got worse with time :(

I've got a similar problem with my Plusnet fibre. I've noticed a gradual drop of sync and overall speed over the past few months.

I've got exactly the same setup Asus Router with an ECI modem connected to a Huawei cabinet. I'll be interested to see how you get on Randall8686.

Might order one too. I've been experiencing the same exact issue as the OP for the last two months. ECI Modem to Huawei cabinet. Until today I always thought I was connected to an ECI cabinet oops!
 
Just has this reply from a plusnet rep on their forums after them sayin nothing wrong with my connection, i then said i bought an alternative modem to try responce below.

Your line does have G.INP on and our suppliers have a fix in place I believe. The other thread should have a update shortly.

So the fact they say they have a fix in place / on its way is in my eyes admission there is an issue.
 
My modem was delivered today. Won't get chance to swap it out and install the hg612 for a few weeks however due to ongoing home improvements! :(
 
Annoyingly my new modem turned up and its a ECI one ! Ffs ! Just messaged the ebayer and see what they say. I did not even check until i went to plug it in.
 
I had the same a few months ago. Ordered a 3B and got sent a ECI.
The seller called me a liar and that I'm trying to con him. eBay sided with me on this one.
 
Strangly enough, first one I bought ages back was listed as a 612, but was an eci modem.

Much the same deal with the seller, they said send it back, then stopped responding, so ebay/paypal sided with me a refunded it. Not sure why so many list the ECI ones as HG612.

Most likely because ECI ones dont sell because everyone who is going on ebay to buy a modem wants the HG612 so they can unlock it and stuff which you cant do with the ECI. I guess they are hoping that people don't know the difference between them.
 
No reply yet, however when i enquired for a sale they were back and forward in seconds. Now im questioning them... Nothing. Going to open my paypal case now i think
 
Just had a message off the eBay seller apologising and offering me a replacement or refund. He's assured me the replacement is a huawei model....... Time will tell.
