Hi Guys

Please can you help

I have just bought some new color and black cartridges for my HP PSC 950 (printer scanner copier)

I have aligned the cartridges and it printed out a alignment sheet all fine. I am trying to print a word document now and my text comes printed with a lot of black, but some lines come out written faintly, how can i fix this problem? I never used to have this problem, i always got new cartridges when my old ones would run out, i would place the new ones in and align the cartridges like right now but now i am having problems

Please if anyone can help me, i got loads of printing needing to be done.

My system is XP home edition+service pack 2

Many thanks in advance

Can you not do a nozzle check? Does it only happen in word? Do you have the latest drivers / have a different opc to plug it in to check?

Thanks for the reply

what do you mean a nozzle check?

whats an opc?

I have the latest drivers i think?

It happens in any in program

TIA

as far as I am aware, HP printers have the printhead built in to the cartridge. did you buy original hp or 3rd party? 3rd party never worked as well for me...
I think the guy meant a different pc to check that the printer was working fine!
If you check in the hp drivers, there are a few options to print nozzle check, clean printheads etc. etc. check the manual and see what's available...
