Ok I have a 40 GB Playstation 3 model.
It has stopped reading discs. Any discs. It won't even acknowledge that there is a disc in the drive.
Anyway I've yet to contact Sony properly about it (I emailed them and they gave me a phone number and a case number, can't phone them though till next week when I go home. Currently in my Uni digs).
I think I'm out of warrenty and so was wondeirng about how much does a repair cost? It's only the Blu Ray drive that is buggered. The console does everything else fine.
Also if I do send it off, what's the usual turnaround time? Oh and is it OK if I remove the Hard Drive? I would liek to do this so that I don't run the risk of Sony losing it. It has all my game saves etc on it.
