Update 24-02-2015 - Phanteks PH-TC14S 140mm CPU Cooler

I moved the 2.5 SSD/HDD back to the bottom of case being the New CPU cooler is really great for space & I will reserve the 2 x 2.5 mounting bracket for extra storage drives,
only running 2 case fans now in this case & both powered by the 1 system fan header on the motherboard , will reserve the small fan control in case if I need extra fans for the future.

What a Cooler & the size & price
i7 4790k CPU at stock 4.0Ghz -Turbo 4.4Ghz temperatures in modded Raijintek Metis case
Phanteks PH-TC14S 140mm CPU Cooler

Desktop idle temperature: Max Temp 26 / 29c

Really Nice Build there mate
Hows does that Gigabyte 970 GPU perform???
I have just manage to snag one for £170.
I can't wait to get my GPU
Whats the noise like on you build (idle/Under load)

Gigabyte 970 mini its GPU is great, temps around 63/5c depending on room temp & things, silent on just around desktop & watching movies,
& in-game I am playing risen 2 - dark waters & loving the game, not noticed any sound,
only from the case fans & they pretty silent & don't bother me with the sound & music from the game blocks that out,
I have placed an order for 2 Aerocool DS Edition Fan - Blue - 120mm case Fans, review & people say they are as the fan title goes, Dead Silent.

Damn those fans look like they do a job!
If you want to test your rig get yourself on Star citizen and see what temps and what fps you get (Only for 1080p resolution with that gpu (3.5GB issue)).
Okay, its not fully optimized yet but I think it will become the new benchmark for testing.

Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor Good for testing the temp

1080p Render Res...

Low 1gb or greater
Medium 2gb or greater
high 3gb or greater <--- my setting
ultra 6gb or greater

Update Case Revision 26-02-2015

Now installed the 2 Aerocool DS Edition Fans
I changed the Air flow direction also of the fans so that it goes in the same direction as the GPU cooler fan, I also changed the direction of CPU cooler fan,
I could have gone for the Black & white Aerocool DS Edition Fans, But I wanted the Blue LEDs.

What's the clearance between the top of the modular connectors of your SX500 PSU and the bottom of your GPU? i.e. could a longer GPU fit without fouling against that SFX-L PSU?

Also, would there be a temperature difference if the case was flipped on its head? i.e. PSU exhausting out the top. You'd have to swap the feet around, also the top IO would no longer be useable. Something like this: http://imgur.com/7rGktff

Nice looking build, I've enjoyed seeing the progress.

using the Silverstone SFX-L 500W, The space from the top of PSU to bottom of graphics card is 2.5cm or 25mm,
cable plug-in connectors from the bottom of PSU & up are 1.5cm or 15mm, So leaving 1cm or 10mm free of space for cable/wire

you could mod the case Doing away with the black PSU mount bracket that takes some hight on the bottom front of the case & just use the SFX PSU flat adaptor plate in place of it,
2 ways of doing this,

1) would mean making a hole in bottom rear case panel & bottom panel for the AC power cable to pass through inside the case & under
or
2) you could just have the AC power cable dangling under the case without making any holes for the AC power cable to pass from inside the case.
I say dangling you could use a cable tie in 2 of the holes where the 2.5 HDD/SSD mount holes are.

I am going to do this, will post pictures soon, Corbin Dallas!

flipped on its head, I did try this when I started the project, Changing the motherboard-tray & panels so the window side on my left & Graphics card at the bottom when sitting on the bench ,
but there few incompatibility with power bottom, black mounting tray on bottom & screw holes,
but possible if modded, be really no temperature difference.

Using the Silverstone SFX-L 500W without the black PSU bracket of Case,
the space from top of PSU to the bottom of graphics card is 4cm/40mm

Hello guys
I am a new user and I have a first question ..
I can install the video card radeon R7 260X in this case? even if it exceeds 17 cm?

Thank you so much

Yes you can but Since an ATX PSU of 150mm Depth or more will have a clear obstruction for the graphics card & you are restricted to approximately 17cm /170mm as stated in the
Specs of the Case, to lift that restriction to use longer Graphics cards up to 260mm you must use the "SFX / SFX-L,
Not sure on 140mm Depth ATX PSUs, you might not have the clearance for the long graphics card.

The Gigabyte Radeon R9 390X G1 Gaming GV-R939XG1 GAMING-8GD Card size H=42 mm, L=234 mm, W=129 mm

Update Case Build Revision 08-08-2015

Hello & Yes I still very much love this case as its still really the only smallest ITX case out there & offers Room
for large CPU coolers & good size graphics card up to 260m or more with SFX PSU installed or
Large Full-Size ATX PSUs if you use a small graphics card up to 170mm/17cm.

I swapped the original Phanteks PH-TC14S 140mm CPU Fan White to make more room with a "BitFenix Spectre PWM 120mm Fan Blue LED - Black",
You could have 2 mounted to the CPU heatsink for a little more cooling.

Do you think it'd be possible to fit a reference 980ti in one of these cases?

Nope, L=282mm will not fit & that's the smallest what I see at the moment of the Ti Range, 260mm would be pushing it & You would need right size Required 600W PSU.
