I haven't posted anything for a little bit now. And you may like a change from macros!

1 I'd like to hear your opinions on the morals of this type of thing. #2 included.

Stunning set mate. Top work. I love number 1 and 2. With regards to morals, I don't think its wrong to do as long as you are respectfull as much as possible. things like this recording and reporting, and can't be done naturally by asking the person first. From an artistic point of view, I think number 1 ones best due to the wide angle and low point of view. However the second one has more of a sad story to it due to the guys feet/crutch. As for the others, some nice ones in there, however I think you've gone a bit overboard on the hdr(but then im not a huge fan of hdr in the first place.)

more arty than photography some of them but still good. As for 1 and 2, a good take on a dire subject.

Quite a shock to recognise the arts centre of all places (i'm at warwick!). Not too sure about the HDR shots but the first 2 are really dramatic

i like the first one and the eighth ones the most.

in the first one i like the way you can see the reflection of the world just 'carrying on' and there are two people stood looking the otherway. same deal with the poster in number 2 where it mentions mayor of london - suggesting the people who run places can be so near to the problems faced by people on the streets but not acknowledge them.

the eighth one, it's simple but effective. dunno what it says to anyone else but makes me think about being trapped - and not being real, and being able to see what's real but not being able to get at it. (artifical caged light, with sunlight visiable behind the tower block). that might just be me, sometimes things just say stuff to me.

the others don't really jump out at me, apart from the heavy use of HDR! :p

No 1 is superb. You've captured the desperation of homelessness whilst the world carries on regardless perfectly.

Some brilliant shots there mate. I really like number 1 2 &4. Although I think you went a little OTT with the HDR in some!
-How.

I see you got one of the metal men - they're quite cool. I posted a couple earlier.

I love the homeless ones - not a fan of the HDR - all a little OTT. I also very much like the office one.

Cheers for the feedback guys. I think I should have just put the homeless guys in this post really. I don't think I realised how much I used HDR either, and yes a bit over the top too!

Thanks to Gex for rationalising his feelings! I love to hear the thought processes people go through when looking at my work.

In-case you hadn't noticed, the homeless people have had the HDR treatment. Here's #1 without HDR http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/1780/dsc254133smjk0.jpg
I think the HDR adds great effect and exaggerates the dirty, gritty nature of the shots. It also really helped with lighting the subjects.

Something that was pointed out to me about #3 is how you can view the perspective in two different ways: looking up at the corner of the building, or looking down.

you're welcome, i always like to hear what people think what they see stuff i've done so i always try and be honest and open when looking at other peoples work.

I hadn't noticed 1 and 2 were HDR, i think thats HDR working well - when it adds to the overall picture, but you don't look at it and just see the effect.

I hope you're in PhotoSoc! If not get on it and you can help out with a load of stuff we've got coming up over the next few weeks. Facebook group here

I;m not sure what you were going for but your models need a bath regardless.

Anyway good use of hdr

The first two are your best work to date, really well thought out and despite what iBot says I believe they both have a strong message.

I also think #9 has the makings of a really good picture but it's not quite there yet. I'd like to see the ghost like figures to be more visible. Second shutter flash may be the way forward.

Cheers Gord, I agree with #9 and I was a bit annoyed as the people being too blurred/not there. I'll return soon hopefully!
But it's hard to get the timing right between having both men lit up and people. I'd have to use my compact cameras flash I think.

The first one is good. It's got a nice angle and the processing suites it, in this case.

The exact opposite can be said for the car park one. That's WAY overdone. Your eye is dragged all over the place and the processing makes matters worse really. You try to look at the bottom of the image and you find yourself randomly being pulled everywhere, with no flow. All the time you're fighting against staring at the completely overbearing sky.

The one which I think is the exit from the car park (no. 5), seems to be too dark. There are patches in the centre that suffer from that slightly, and the right hand side definitely does. The top seems too dark for my liking too.
