My reply from Microsoft Re: Xbox Live

none i was just saying u cannot understand them

You actually made two points, that you couldnt understand them and that their features were ethnic, one point was ignorant, the other point bordering on racist.

We live in a compensation society now, everyone thinks they are entitled to something the minute something dosent exactly pan out.

With the amount of media attention this matter has been given I think that any questions put to M$ about it are going to receive the same kind of "safe" answer. As for the compensation, I feel that it we're able to chose which game we would like (perhaps within a points budget) then that will be adequate to satisfy me, but if it's a game of M$' choosing then I might not be so happy.

or was he just stating facts it is dam hard to understand some of the outsourced call centers to such a degree you sometimes both end up repeating everything to the nth degree and getting no where, its not their fault its not your fault its the companies fault who dont want to spend the money on local customer service where everyone understands whats being said

So when they (and they did) say to me "I cannot understand you, please speak clearly" when I was speaking clear.. does that make them racist?

When it's a white person getting the bad end of stick it all seems different <_>

But all I was saying is he speaked really quick and wasnt speaking clear I had to ask (in a kind mannor) if I can speak to somebody else

On callcentre staff... When speaking to people with Indian accents I for the life of me can't understand some of them, just like people with Welsh accents, I sometimes can't understand them either. I just find it really hard, so usually ask if there is anyone else I can talk to and they usually say that it's fine. I wouldn't be bothered myself if someone couldn't understand me.

I am not commenting on what you said about you not understanding them, i was commenting on your "ethnic features" quip.

Their call centers are worse, full of people with ethnic features. and you cannot understand them at all

yaboy, that's worded really badly, although I agree I'd rather speak to someone british, purely because they're easier to understand, and in my experience, more helpfull. Although the foriegn call centers are always very polite, i just find i have to keep repeating myself. :(

You know what makes me chuckle? When they say their name is Charlie, or Bob or Joe, in the most thick Indian accent you will have ever heard.

When I called them on Monday to arrange to get my 360 collected for repair, I found I had to ask the guy several times to repeat himself.
I wasn't because I am hard of hearing either :p
