MY SITUATION

could end up like i have in my uni halls though and have one of the randoms be what you totally hate which could ruin it all, but then again i guess with proper housing you wouldn't get people like that because they wouldn't be able to afford it.

Annoying people can't afford to live in private housing?

1 bedroom flat here: £1200 pcm :p

Eurghh, i'm going to view a 3 (large) double bedroom duplex apartment in a 2 year old development tommorrow. 3 (large) Double bedrooms, 2 en-suites, 1 toilet room, 1 master bathroom, 1 seperate shower room, kitchen / lounge, secure parking, large balcony, concierge etc and thats £1200 pcm :\

I'd go with randoms. Its cheaper and you could get lumbered with some class people and potentially some tasty females. It could also make you some friends.

However, it could also land you with the people from "the hills have eyes". Even so you are paying cheap rent and you would be living in a survival horror you would usually have to pay £39.99 to experience.

In addition, you could probably have a much shorter tenancy agreement in shared accommodation (guess, not fact). If the people are nobbers just move on.

Do what I did, don't pay rent, pay for the weekly shopping for a mate every week and move in with him. Sleep on the settee (I barely got a bed at uni so I was more than happy to sleep on a sofa)
I decided, no flats, no messing around, i'm not getting my own place until i can afford a mortgage on a house.
She stayed at her parents but as much as I love mine, I was much better off gone, no real arguments after I moved out.
At 22 me and my missus finally moved in together to our home.

Sharing - Share bills, shopping, cooking, cleaning, never be lonely.

Living alone - Pee with the door open, fart as loudly as you like, make a mess/don't make a mess, make a noise/don't make a noise, watch porno in the living room, eat/drink what/when you like, be alone or have company.

Your choice :).

It's kind of a pointless question really though, since those who have lived with randoms and been lucky enough to live with decent/fun people will tell you to go for that route. And people who have done the same but ended up living with ********* will say the contrary.

Nothing personal, but in my own experience the worst possible type of 'random' to live with are the ones such as yourself. People who don't have any experience of living with other random people. They generally havn't worked out where the 'borders' are, and what is/isn't acceptable. Thus they are often very inconsiderate/irritating people to live with.
