32gig hyperx ram
geforce 4070 .

Do you know what the exact power supply in the PC is?

How old is the PC?

Does this issue only happen when he's gaming?

Has he made any changes recently prior to the fault occurring, even something like giving the PC a clean, or is this a problem he's had since day one?

That PSU would run a 5090 let alone a 4070 unless it's developed a fault.

If it was a full system build it should have a years warranty left I believe? If so get in touch with OCUK, they may ask you to try a few things before organising an RMA but they should cover everything including shipping if there is a hardware fault somewhere in the chain.

You could do an OCCT PSU check. This will put the GPU and CPU under load at the same time. If the PC shuts down during this, then it is most likely the PSU at fault. search for occt download, it is a stress testing program/ stability testing
