I have my spices (more than that) in a cool dark place; i'd never have them in light like that

I'm not alphabetic ... moreover grouped in themes indian / oriental / desert / other venn diagram structure.

where do you buy from ?
freshness of some of the lesser used spices is always a concern - I should bin some old coriander/5yrs and ginger, equally spice turnover on bulk made curries is large.
 
So where did you get the bits from, could you put it on the back of a cupboard door to keep out of the light and yet within easy reach?
 
surely the Asafoetida should be triple wrapped in cling-film, encased in carbonite and then dropped in the Mariana Trench and even then you'd open the kitchen door and go "what on earth is that smell?" :D
