Hi peeps, I took the plunge and got a vertex 2 60 gig ssd.
It may not be the fastest ssd but I am very pleased with the results.
First of all I did a fresh install and the speed transfer was around 180 mb a sec.
I then used the new free paragon ver 11 and transfered my original boot hd which was 250gb over to the new ssd with no problems.
I then used the reg tweak and changed the drive from ide to achi in the bios.
The reg hack you can download did not work and i got bsod on boot up so i did it manualy and it worked fine.
My speed dropped a little to 170 mb a sec but i cannot notice this and the plus factor is my system is just like I wanted it with the speed factor.
Very happy with the speed increase.
Best upgrade in years - everyone should do it.
