My steam folder : I am an idiot.

using 1TB WD Black for my games. Plenty fast enough like loading a game in a few seconds. What's the problem? LOL

I've been forced back to a mechanical (a WD black as it happens) whilst my samsung is away for repair.

Yeah individual applications/games load in a reasonable time frame, but its not that thats the biggest issue for me. It's the waiting for things to happen.

I've got a high spec PC, but load steam, or battlenet and they take a while to get going, and trying to load other things at the same time? It just feels like it takes ages. Once you get used to an SSD with multiple applications opening instantly, you can't ever go back. App switching, alt+tabbing, etc.

And using photoshop/lightroom? What an unpleasant experience it is now.

I use a 180GB Intel SSD as my system drive, a 250GB 850 Evo for my active Games, a 2TB WD Black for my user files (I moved all libraries from the C: drive), a 2TB WD green for my archived games (much quicker than re-downloading them on my 8Mb internet) and two 4TB WD greens for media storage.

May sound complicated but isn't and works extremely well as I also use the machine as my Plex server for the TV.
