Your story broke my heart and I wish all the best for your new family. Remember though, as tough as it is for you, Karen and James are going through worse and you need to be a rock for them. Keep doing what you're doing. You're awesome.
 
I have utmost sympathy for you with Ellie, but do her justice by giving everything you have for James. Best of luck to you, and may the good things to come outweigh the tragic past. He looks like damn fine little man :D
 
As a father myself I can understand your worry and pain, I had a tear in my eye reading that :(

Congratulations to you and I hope all goes well in the next few week.
 
What a little dude James is, and coming through all that and I'm sure he'll keep on getting stronger :)

That sounds truly horrible what you've gone through though, and I can only hope things get better for you, you certainly deserve some good luck

As a father myself (my little girl was in scbu for 4 weeks) Your story hit me hard, You seem immensely strong. I hope you get James home soon.
 
wow, you have all had it rough, i am both sad for you and happy for you, i hope that things just move from strength to strength for you.
 
Nothing I can really say, except that your family - especially Karen and your son - are lucky to have such a strong person. You know you have dark days, but you're still there and you're still standing, and lesser things would have beaten a lesser person down. I'm glad to hear that James is doing well, and that the two of them will be home soon, and you'll finally get to start enjoying your time together.
 
Well in not sure what to say really, your post really got me. Im hoping and praying everything will work out for you and your little son grows up to be fit and healthy. Just keep hanging in there you have the little one to think about. All the best mate and Congrats along with my deepest condolences

What a tradjic series of events, all I can say is I hope the wee man is all fine and you enjoy being a parent with your wife :)
