My SuperLanboy Case Mod (Pics)

yeah i noticed it to, it doesn't look bad though IMO. I have a question if you don't mind, can you see through the mesh into the case?. I might some of the black mesh but wouldn't want the inside totally blocked off.

black honeycomb mesh would look amazingly fantastic! Mite consider that when i get my case or try it first on this shed of a case.

Yes you can see into the case when its lit from the otherside. At the moment i've only got the front fan led, and i can see through the front half of the case. but the back is dark so you cant see anything on the other side

Looks nice also im not a fan of these cases.

Doesnt having a mesh side panel kinda play havoc with case cooling as it will just leave through the side of the case.

It would be a slight problem, but you are assuming he had the cooling setup perfect before, most people don't so it should not make much difference, especially with the other fan.

v1000+ take the side panel off and the temperatures go sky high. :p

Nicely done, have you considered replacing the plastic at the front with mesh?

I have considered that, it is harder than you might think :p Although the mesh I have is steel not allu

Edit: I am going to be painting the Lanboy Black and buying proper meshx/modders mesh so ignore how crap this is. Was done in 5 minutes with no tools so consider it a mock up.

Raikiri that needs a surround around the mesh, or some giant screws with visible mounting as it looks like its just floating about. :p

Like I said mock up >< and it is floating... telekinesis +1

When I do it properly it will be mounted using long bolts going into the fan which I will paint (the visible parts) black so they are hard to see.

Personally I think it would look better with them visible. ;)

How about a project log?

Lots of people wanted to see a sticky, which I can get done but I need the logs! I may see about another solution however.

I will get ones with chrome heads then so they match the screw covers going around the window ;)

I shall take pictures as I do the painting/window etc. and I will write a project log
