Bought a panasonic HD TV about a week ago and it died for no apparent reason so i dug out a cheapo TV/DVD combo that i bought about 3 years. It's a DMTECH or something.

Anyway, i plugged it in and connected it to my Virgin+ digibox via a scart cable only to find that there is no AV button on the TV or on the remote. I've pressed every single button on the remote to no avail.

I'm generally pretty competent with technology so i'm sure i'm not being super retarded or anything but this has really stumpted me.

Being TVless sucks :(

I beg you for help.

Some TV's will automatically switch to AV when needed, turn virgin box off, make sure TV is on then turn on the virgin box. You might get lucky :)

You also have to make sure that the VBox is setup to 'announce' itself to SCART as I dont think it does defaultly. I definitely know that it had a setting on the VBox but not too sure about the V+ Boxes...

Once thats set having the TV on and then switching on the VBox will kick it into AV/SCART...

ps3ud0

on the v+ box make sure (TV Auto-detects Scart) in home > settings > Change display & audio settings ) As said above :)

Thanks but the problem is if i cant get the TV on to AV in the first place i cant change any settings :)

Is it a fully wired SCART plug? as I'm sure those Autodetect. Or try and re tune the TV with the box pluged in and working.
