its convertible

normal scuderia is hardtop.

Its got a few extra bits like an ipod headunit and stuff, but mechanically not much.

Nice enough obv but whats the point in all the race bread stuff without a roof? They'll just have to put the weight saving into chassis stiffening.

I don't believe that this is the case for the F430. I think it was always designed from the ground up to be a convertible as well so there isn't a large weight penalty or lack of torsional rigidity compared to the coupe.

Hugely exciting car though. I bet it is quite an event.
