My upgrade

Im available to upgrade now on my 26 pound vodafone contract, I currently have a HTC Google Magic, i do like android phones and would like to keep with them, is it worth going for the x10 or stick with the desire/legend or lesser?

On a side note can anyone explain tethering to me?

Surely its just the same as connecting to the router automatically?

I'm not sure on the x10 vs Desire, but having seen both in the flesh, the Desire gets my vote. The x10 looks too plasticy with sharp edges.

Tethering allows you to connect or share the phone's mobile internet connection with other non 3G devices like laptops. This can be either by cable or making hte phone into a wireless access point and connecting to it over WiFi.

The legend does not compare to the Desire/X10 so forget that right away.

You should be looking at the Desire or Galaxy S. Depending on the software you prefer and whether or not you want a camera flash.
