As for the deadlineless work and minimised networking those options are left over from days gone by - both need to be set to no or you'll get no work (wish they'd just disable those settings or ignore them or something)

Are those options automatically enabled if you don't choose to change the Advanced Options?

By default they are both set to no, also you only get the choice of changing the minimise networking one if you've said yes to deadlineless WUs.


They date right back to the Genome@Home days when there were tiny WUs which had no real need for deadlines (since genome work didn't hinge on the results of the previous WUs)
