have you ever seen a praetorian and a 201 side by side?

If you have you should know the praetorian is not made as well as the 201.

Now the reason why the stopped production of the original praetorian - evolution, striving to make a better case hence the new praetorians

Ha! beaten too it!

Urm, from many reports- Whats the difference?

Aluminium is different? Its just the same thing with a Pretorian bagde slapped on it.

well do you think they would just change the name of the case and charge a cheaper price if it were still the same case and still made the same way (when they were selling the 201 at over twice the price and people would still but a 201b-BXT over a black prae)? the build quality isn't as good. the grade of Alu is not as good and some say thinner Alu is used, however i think that's posibly an illusion as the 201s in the most part were painted whereas the praetorian is anodised - though i haven't got anything to measure them to be 100% either way.

My recent purchase was £57 including postage, and it had:

DVD ROM
Cooler Master Muskateer[font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]
425W Jeantech PSU
3.5" floppy drive card reader

Cosmetic condition over all was very good, was missing a couple of bay blanks as they were filled with above stuff, couple of PCI brackets and the thumb screws had ben replaced with small black ones.

So over all a bargain for me. But the right person would probably pay around £100 for a excellent condition one in box with all parts, i know of one which i think has now been sold for £120 including postage (way too much for me as allthough i collect them i'm not keen on black cases)

Edit: also once i've restored mine i'd sell it, but would want around the £100 mark to let it go. price really depends on how much the buyer wants it and how desperate the seller is to get rid. I have a couple of ATCs cases that i would sell for the right price but i'm not desperate so wouldn't let them go for silly money, if you really wanted one you'd pay the price.

Edit 2: this is not a sales pitch mearly stating that it's all about supply and demand

Looks nice Gr1mey, but i would have loved to see the TJ03 completed - i really liked the idea of the floating grills over red UV. I had a couple of thoughts on that project which i'll post here since the other thread is kinda finished with now.

1. Looking at where you have your PC, wouldn't fans pulling air through the rad be better? I'd have thought that would mean less airflow over your hands when using your pc...

2. The feet were a really nice addition, and with the red acrylic added in, it would have looked great if you drilled a small hole in the base just offset from where the feet were attached in each corner and poked a UV LED through. That way you get glowing hifi feet as well as glowing grills.

Just my thoughts on your idea anyway - never managed more than a couple of 120mm holes in my own case though - the original Centurion - nothing to get excited about ;)

Good work anyway, and keep it up - i, like many others here love reading these project logs!

That looks really nice - the light looks too bright at the front through the RES but that could be the photos. The case internals look beautifully lit. Very subtle and totally in keeping with the svelte look of the case. Great job.

Love that case, looks great with the blue power led and the blue lights inside, well done. Are them hifi style feet original or did you fit them yourself?, im after something similar as i think they look awsome on black pc cases.

they are the original CM feet

yep like harib0 said they are the stock feet that come with the case. Essentially the case is unmodified bar the two holes in the bottom to allow for the pipes, and the holes on the off-side of the drive cages for better cable management.

(although imo the latter is an improvement not a mod, dont know why more manufactures dont just have them as standard.)
