my webspace has been hacked :(

Somebody has broken into my account, changed my password and set up a porn site, i'm not a happy bunny.

Just emailed my space supplier and waiting to see what happens.

i expected that, i think i've lost a lot of my photography from there, i have it all backed up on disk but it's happened in a matter of hours, and no link

Get in touch with your host, they may be able to restore a backup from a previous time.

Do you have any idea how the hack was done?

If your whole account was hacked, do you use many shared computers? Do you share passwords with say, your forums/MySQL databases with your hosting login?

all sorted now, dunno what happened but the whole server that my webspace and other webspace was on was attacked and everyone had a porn site lol. My hosts have fixed it, first time it's happened in well over 3 years.
