I'm fat, current weight 105KG.

Used to be 80-82KG, 5ft 10, quite strong - history of sport (used to be a competitive swimmer, and have done lots of aerobics and sports training)
Gained 20-30KG during covid, partially due to depression, over-eating and poor self control (anti-depressants really put the weight on), thankfully I fixed the depression at the end of covid, so I'm not on any medication for 2 years now.

Motivation and activity have never been a problem for me, I've always done sports and outdoor activities and I enjoy gym classes - I just eat like a pig.

My exercise regime is as follows:

Mondays, - 45 min lunchtime walk, then Les Mills Grit in the evening
Tuesday, 45 min lunchtime walk, evening circuit training for 1 hour
Wednesday, 45 min lunchtime walk,
Thursday, 45 min lunchtime walk, Les Mills body step in the evening
Friday, 45 min lunchtime walk,
Saturday, Les Mills body step in the morning, 45 min lunchtime walk,

Eating wise, today I'm starting 20:4 fasting, so I eat from 0900-1300, then fast until the next day, target calorie intake is 1800.

Starting point is 105KG, I will weigh myself each Monday morning and post the results in here, along with general notes to help track my progress :)

2 days into fasting, feel surprisingly good.

I did my gym classes on Monday and last night, 1 hour circuit class last night was brutal, but fun.

Going 20 hours without eating anything so far is surprisingly easy, I have my main meal around 1pm - then that's it until 9am the next day, evenings are the worst especially after the gym, drinking plenty seems to help a lot.

Weighed myself after 2 days, not surprised to see I've dropped down from 105KG to 103.5KG, and I imagine that's mostly water - which is fine.

I had a main meal today for lunch and today is my rest day from the gym, although I did do my walk at lunch.

So far so good, it's going to be difficult with Christmas coming up - but I'm going to stick with it.

10 days in, down to 101.5KG

Last week the evenings were really hard, I felt so damn hungry - but stuck with it, this week it feels a bit easier.

One thing that seems to help is eggs, I'm eating a lot of those spanish tortillas in my eating window, the amount of eggs and protein in them keeps me feeling full for ages - despite the calories being quite modest.

This week has been easier, I've felt less hungry overall and less cravings for any bad stuff - also kept up my gym schedule without any trouble.

So far so good.

I find that simply skipping breakfast and cutting out all junk food and snacks works perfectly well. People over complicate it in my opinion.

Real hard going tonight, did my grit class earlier - absolutely demolished me, still managed to keep my fast on schedule, had to go out for a drive earlier - went past so many Mcdonalds, KFCs, etc - so much temptation, but managed to hold it together..

keep going! I’m 120kg and I’m not fat haha. If I’m right I’m about 18 stone 6 and I use to be 22 stone something. The only thing I did was cut meal size down a lot over the last 6 months.

Weighed this morning, down to 101KG which is great, using the Omo app to keep a schedule, it's not doing anything particularly special, it does harass me to keep logging things - which does help, so it's working well in that regard.

Down to 98.5KG,

This week has been harder, just lots of stuff going on - Christmas party, I've also been ill with a cold which hasn't helped, I've had to break fast a couple of times, but I've dealt with it by simply eating smaller amounts.

Due to me having a cold/illness I've skipped the gym for a week, which has made me less hungry, going to New York for a month in January - but I'll have access to two good gyms, so I'll just need to manage the situation, but overall making good progress.
