My X1950 Pro died, what to replace it with?

Last week my X1950 Pro passed away . A few capacitors have blew on it I think, it was about 4 or 5 years old so could do with upgrading and I guess this has forced me into it.

Cash is tight just now, so looking at a budget of about £50-60 and of at least equal power of the X1950. I've not looked at graphics cards for a while so I have no idea of the market. Currently running a 520W Corsair PSU too.

What are 4850/4870 cards like? 5550 any good? Some recommendations would be great.

2nd hand 4870 goes for about £75-90ish these days, so maybe worth a look

the 4850 would totally destroy your old 1950 pro

i picked up my 4870 for £60 at £75-90ish your looking at a 4890

Thanks for the suggestions guys, great help. I think I'll scour the market for a 4870 or 4890 dependent on price. Failing that I might just settle for a 4850.

Currently using a cheapo 8400gs as a temp solution

Go for 4870, can be had used for £60-70 depending on the version, memory, etc.
