I have already contacted WD first thing this morning but the problem may not be solved instantly as the main techies are in the States so takes 1 working day to get a reply (plus we've now hit the weekend).

The previous post was removed due to you posting RMA queries on the forums. I will try and help you out but your posts will be removed if you break the rules as listed in the FAQ.

Got a reply from WD:

- WD Button Manager - Vista Compatible
- RAID Manager - Vista Compatible
- Retrospect Express HD 2.0 - Vista compatible
- WD Anywhere Access PC Client (MioNet): Not Vista Compatible (ECD: June 2007)

WD Anywhere Access Web Interface can be used to access My Book World Edition in the meantime.

Could you explain how, it will not let any of the software load.

As WD Anywhere Acces will not load how can WD Anywhere Access Web Interface be used to access My Book World Edition in the meantime?

Thanks for the post, the problem as I see it is that if you get the unit running through an XP machine you can play with the settings to let a Vista machine access it, but this presoposes that you can set it up with an XP machine.

If it is not possible to use this with a Vista machine and without first doing some undefined things with an XP machine then all it is to me is a shiny white brick.

If anyone can explain how I can use it from scratch with Vista then I am all ears.
