MyHermes/Hermes

i can attest to op's opinion of my hermes. we've had some pretty poor service from them. had several late deliveries. but their drivers are a bunch of idiots. items which we pay an extra £1 to make it "Signed for only" they just chuck the parcel over the gate or something.

also had customers who were in all day and hermes claiming they had tried but no one was in. etc

each to their own obviously, but i suppose you get what you pay for and they are pretty cheap.

You were aware of their delivery period, it's your fault for not being up.

To be honest, that's the time I get up.

Plus I was told they start delivering 8am-8pm when I called the Customer Service.

I was getting a coffee one of the mornings it was meant to come, they said they came at 8:07am when i know i was in the kitchen at that time as i leave around 8:12am to catch the bus just round the corner from me.

They claimed to have left a card that day too, which wasn't the case, the only card they left was on the Saturday, which was blank!

I have recently started using Hermes for posting ebay items due to very keen pricing, also the ability to drop it off at my local shop up to 11pm cannot be beaten for convenience. As long as your items are not stupidly massive its a fairly flat rate cost for nice obvious brackets.

Of the 15 items I have posted so far, all have arrived within around 3 days and have had no bad feedback from the buyers.

However the most recent item I posted has "Delivered 07/04/2014 - 09:07 - Delivered - parcel left in shed" - So they clearly don't mind where they are putting items.

I ordered a PlayStation 3 from Amazon a few years ago, delivery company was Herpes, stated it had been "delivered" on their tracking site, well whoever it was delivered to it certainly wasn't me.

Funny thing the "delivered" note was dated 15 minutes after the "out from depot" note - and the depot is 50 miles away...

To cut a long story short had a lengthy "discussion" with Amazon (even got a phone call from the US judging by the accent) who sent out another via a better courier who had no trouble finding me.

Never had a problem. They seem one of the best couriers I've used tbh. For sending stuff anyhow.

Have nothing bad to say about them personally. They use self employed drivers much like the most of Yodels guys.

Still prefer DPD and Royal Mail though, but that's only because our post man is a nice guy :)

Amazon uses them a lot now and the up to 5 days supersaver free delivery now takes at least 5 days to arrive. Before everyone says use prime, it doesn't work here. I used the trial and out of half a dozen items i ordered only one came next day. The others took 3, 4 and 6 days to arrive even though all were in stock and eligible for prime delivery.

Hermes deliveries here are by a woman in a beat up old Kia estate car and she never asks for a signature.

One of my couriers also works for MyHermes. They get paid crap. But with the lack of jobs out there at least they are doing something.

One of his gripes is getting all his parcels delivered to him at 12:05 with loads of AM deliveries.

One i had back in the UK was great, nice women always on time, never got annoyed with the return items (clothes/shoes)

good pricing, outstanding infact.
