Myspace password recovery - Asterix unmask

Ok, say I've forgotten my myspace password and I can no longer access the email I use for my myspace account because I've forgotten the password for that, but everytime I log onto myspace, the password comes up, but in asterixes.

Is there anyway I can copy and paste that asterix covered password into some sort of programme to see what the text is?

What browser are you using? Its the browser that has saved the password for you, but not sure on how to retrieve those, the information will be somewhere most likely encrypted.

For Firefox: Edit > Preferences > 'Security' and then click the 'Show Passwords' button to access stored passwords

You may also be interested in a program (of potentially suspect nature, but should be ok) called snadboy's revelation.

It "reveals" passwords in most starred boxes. It can be useful in some circumstances.

FWIW, I found it under "Tools>Options>Security"
