i only joined coz i got invites from ppl i knew but didn't get in touch with that often, through it i've meet up with some ppl i used to go to school with and wanted to talk to again.

a lot of it is crap but i like catching up with old mates.

One thing I don't like about MySpace is the fact that the "Extended Network" feature is almost pointless. I would be interested to see if someone is in my extended network, i.e. if they are friends, with a friend, with a friend of mine, etc.; but having "Tom" as the friend of practically everyone makes this useless. Practically every user is linked to each other by "Tom", and thus, I think that the "Extended Network" feature is almost useless, so why have a massive sign plastered at the top of the page about it.

Also, why don't people just make their own website, they can link to their friends, run scripts, and maybe learn something while they are doing it.

the extended network thing doesn't actually do anything afaik - even if you remove tom it will still be there - it's there if you're not logged in as well. Completely pointless.

(I think the idea is that by being on myspace the whole userbase becomes your extended network)

To add your own music you need to register a music account, that will allow up to 4 tracks. Otherwise I think you find the track you want on there and click add to add it to your page.
