Hey guys, I was wondering if there were perhaps any great websites you're aware of for Backup procedures regarding MySQL?
Recently I decided to utilise the off-site backup space I purchased with my dedibox and found that doing a direct mysqldump locks the database until its done (about 8 seconds or so). Obviously at the moment this will be crontabbed to happen in the least active time for the players but I'm sure there is a better way as my game gets more active etc? I think we have raid-1 hard-drives. Server is quite beasty though. At the moment its only running my web game too: http://www.konoro.org which I posted here a few times a while ago when it was a lot less developed
